**Titel: Kadir – James Bond 007 von Istanbul**

Wer glaubt, Istanbul auf eigene Faust entdecken zu können, hat Kadir noch nicht kennengelernt. Der Mann betritt eine Gasse wie James Bond einen Casino-Saal: Stil, Präsenz, und immer drei Schritte voraus. Anzug sitzt, Timing sitzt, und irgendwie öffnen sich Türen, von denen man nicht mal wusste, dass es Türen sind.

Wir haben Orte gesehen, an denen definitiv kein Tourist je vorbeikommt – versteckte Innenhöfe, Dachterrassen mit Blick über den Bosporus, kleine Teestuben, in denen alle Kadir beim Vornamen grüßen. Kein Massenprogramm, kein Abhaken von Sehenswürdigkeiten, sondern das echte Istanbul, erzählt von jemandem, der die Stadt nicht nur kennt, sondern liebt.

Dazu ein Humor, der die ganze Tour trägt, absolute Zuverlässigkeit und ein Gespür dafür, wann man reden und wann man einfach nur schauen sollte. Wir haben mehr gelacht und mehr gelernt als auf jeder anderen Reise.

Fazit: Fünf Sterne wären zu wenig. Wer Istanbul wirklich erleben will, bucht Kadir – Lizenz zum Begeistern. Wir kommen wieder, und zwar nur mit ihm.

I can't recommend Kadir more for a private tour of Istanbul. We were a group of 4 who had two full days to explore the city having never been there before. I asked Kadir to put together an agenda for the two days that hit the must see sites, but that also let us see the "real" Istanbul. He did exactly that! As a lifelong resident of Istanbul and having lived in different neighborhoods, he really knows the city. But even more enjoyable for us was his knowledge of the history of the area - he can tell stories from the 5th century to today. He packed a ton in two days and we were tired at the end, but we would never have seen what we saw without Kadir!

Unsere individuelle Tour durch Istanbul mit Kadir war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Bereits die Vorbereitung verlief völlig unkompliziert und professionell. Kadir war pünktlich am vereinbarten Treffpunkt und hatte die Tour perfekt organisiert.

Obwohl wir vor rund 20 Jahren während drei Jahren in Istanbul gelebt hatten und die Stadt bereits gut zu kennen glaubten, konnte uns Kadir viele neue und faszinierende Ecken näherbringen. Gerade diese Mischung aus bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten und versteckten Orten machte die Tour für uns besonders wertvoll.

Neben dem Besuch der zahlreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten beeindruckte uns besonders sein fundiertes Wissen über die Geschichte und Kultur Istanbuls. Während der gesamten Tour erklärte er uns nicht nur die historischen Hintergründe und die Bedeutung der besuchten Orte, sondern nutzte auch die Wege zwischen den Sehenswürdigkeiten für spannende Erzählungen und interessante Informationen.

Nach unserem Besuch rund um den Galata-Turm bewegten wir uns zu Fuss und mit der Strassenbahn zur Hagia Sophia und zur Blauen Moschee. Anschliessend besichtigten wir die Zisterne und die Kleine Hagia Sophia, bevor wir durch die historischen Viertel Istanbuls schlenderten. Die alten Holzhäuser sind wunderschön und werden mit viel Liebe zum Detail im ursprünglichen Stil renoviert.

Ein weiteres Highlight war der Besuch des Grossen Basars. Kadir führte uns souverän durch die verwinkelten Gassen, erzählte spannende Geschichten und zeigte uns Orte, die wir alleine niemals entdeckt hätten. Besonders beeindruckt waren wir von einer versteckten Dachterrasse mit Blick über die Dächer des Basars, einer kleinen Limonadenbar mit fantastischer Aussicht sowie den Besuchen in traditionellen Gold- und Silberwerkstätten.

Zum Abschluss besuchten wir noch die Sultan-Ahmet-Moschee, was diesen wunderbaren Tag perfekt abrundete.

Kadir ist ein äusserst kompetenter, freundlicher und engagierter Guide, der seine Stadt liebt und diese Begeisterung auf seine Gäste überträgt. Dank ihm konnten wir Istanbul auf eine authentische und sehr persönliche Weise kennenlernen. Wir können Kadir uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder eine Tour mit ihm buchen.

Wir können Kadir nur empfehlen! Er hat sich für uns Zeit genommen und hat uns alles genau erklärt und war aber dabei niemals aufdringlich. Er hat mit seinem Wissen und seiner Genauigkeit beeindruckt. Kadir ist der beste Reiseführer Istanbuls
Wir waren zu 4 in Istanbul und haben auf Empfehlung unseres Hotels einen Tag mit Kadir gebucht. Das war eine sehr gute Entscheidung. Kadir hat ein ausgezeichnetes Wissen über die Geschichte Istanbuls. Er hat die Tour an unsere Wünsche angepasst. Mit Kadir gab es keine Wartezeit bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten und dadurch konnte man viel mehr besichtigen an einem Tag. Ebenso hat er uns auch nicht touristische Teile von Istanbul gezeigt. Wir würden Kadir sofort wieder buchen. Danke für den tollen Tag mit Dir.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in Istanbul und uns wurde Kadir vom Hotel als Führer empfohlen. Besser hätten wir es nicht erwischen können...mit Wissen, Charme, Humor und einem perfekten Zeitplan haben wir an einem Tag mehr gesehen und erlebt als wir selbst in mehreren Tagen nicht geschafft hätten. Wir haben auch Gebäude, Gassen und Geschäfte gesehen zu denen wir selbst auch nie gegangen wären. Aufgrund Kadir hatten, wir waren 4 Personen, auch noch den Vorteil bei Sehenswürdigkeiten ohne längere Wartezeit reinzukommen. We visited Istanbul at the end of April and Kadir created a 3 day program of tours for us which was perfectly tailored to our needs. During our time with him Kadir took us to all of the major sights and also took us to some hidden gems which we would have never found on our own. His knowledge of Istanbul and Turkiye's history is amazing and he told us the most amazing stories which really made our visit special. One of our group has limited mobility and Kadir was even able to provide a wheelchair for her and tailor the program so that she was also able to get the most of our visit. He was incredibly patient and flexible with us and is a really friendly and helpful guy. A highlight for us was the boat trip on the Bosphorous and seeing Kadir's wife waving to us from their balcony as we sailed by! The whole tour was a magical experience. Thank you so much Kadir!

What a lovely and intimate day tour of Istanbul’s less traveled sights. I’m a multi time traveler to Istanbul and have visited the main tourist sites multiple times, but this took us off the standard path and got us deeper and more understanding of the Turkish culture than any other tour I’ve done. Kind and warm hearted, we felt cared for and enjoyed the trip immensely.

We can fully recommend Kadir. He prepares his tours individually and adapts them to the wishes of the customers. We have been with him for two days each and will ask him again on our next trip.

Kadir was simply the best tour guide! He guided our group of 20 friends from different nationalities through Sultanahmet and spent more than 7 hours with us, walking around and sharing fascinating stories about the history of Turkey. He also took us to hidden corners that we would have never discovered on our own.

After my wife’s parents, uncles and aunts had received wonderful, exciting, individually tailored guided tours with insider tips with Mr. Kucukeren a good 10 years ago, we were also able to experience this experience in this wonderful city in February. Kadir showed us the most beautiful, well-known as well as places you would never come to as a normal tourist. A highlight was the roof terrace above the bazaar and the small café in an old caravanserai. We enjoyed it very much and experienced a wonderful day and were not disappointed by the recommendations of our parents, aunts and uncles. I would love to come back!!! Kadir was an awesome tour guide. He knows all the good places, knows the history and super kind. Instead of taking you to all touristic and expensive places, he knows the places locals visit and the good places to buy souvenirs.

Do not hesitate to book with Kadir—our time with him was absolutely spectacular. If you want to know why, keep reading.

We arrived by cruise ship, which was staying overnight in Istanbul. On our first day, we took a ship-arranged tour of the Spice Market and Grand Bazaar. Because we were on a bus and the traffic was insane, it took us an hour and a half to go a mile and a half—not an exaggeration! We literally could have saved an hour by walking back to the ship.

For day two, we wanted a more customizable experience with fewer people, allowing access to places a bus tour simply can’t reach. (We learned this lesson in Athens!) Thankfully, we experienced none of the previous day’s traffic issues with Kadir. We used taxis briefly and then mainly public transit, which was far more efficient.

Kadir’s knowledge of Istanbul was incredible. He has a master’s degree in history, and his passion was evident throughout the day. The tour was tailored to exactly what we wanted, and between the trolley, cable car, subway, and plenty of walking, we covered so much comfortably and efficiently.

His expertise saved us hours of waiting in lines. He even called ahead and had a contact purchase skip-the-line passes for us—we walked up, paid, and went straight in. He knew when the Blue Mosque would be busiest, so we visited later. At the Underground Cistern, there was a separate line for guides. He and I stepped in to buy our tickets, and then he returned with Jewel, and again we walked right in.

Above all, his thoughtfulness and kindness were truly 11 out of 10. Rain was in the forecast, so he brought ponchos for both of us. At the Blue Mosque, he gave us tote bags for our shoes so we wouldn’t have to leave them on the public shoe rack—something you don’t appreciate until you imagine someone walking off with your shoes! He even had access to an observation deck that wasn’t officially open yet.

Kadir provided a full day walking tour to a small group of us and we were thrilled with both the bespoke schedule and his knowledge of the history of Istanbul. I felt privileged to enjoy Kadir’s excellent guiding last month during a visit to Istanbul with a good friend. Together with excellent public transit and lots of walking we saw the best of the Haga Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Cisterns and the Grand Bazaar. There was precious little time waiting in lines and Kadir’s encyclopedic knowledge and hospitable nature added to the experience in the best way! At the grand bazaar he brought us into places that tourists don’t typically have access and it was a true insiders experience. I recommend Kadir very highly and would engage his services in a heartbeat for a future visit to Istanbul!

Kadir has been a great host and tour throughout our short stay at Istanbul.
He has vast knowledge and explains every venue in great enthusiastic way.
He brought us to all strategic venues in Istanbul and Bursa, and a greater point is that he takes good pictures too!
Wherever we went, Kadir always had people who knew him, and this also made life so much easier especially in crowded queues and places.
He always managed to find empty proper places for explanation and pictures, despite venues having large number of crowd.

We were in Istanbul on WE 6/7 September with a group of 14. Our organizer booked Kadir for the WE. In short: I can hardly think of anyone better to bring this crazy city as close as Kadir in this short time! We have seen great, highly interesting corners that lie outside the tourist must-have routes. It was a tight program, but all absolutely worth seeing and loving because Kadir seems to know someone in the side stairs of a side street everywhere. After two intense days, one felt confident that one had understood the city with its people and its historic districts. Kadir speaks German very well. I will definitely book him as a guide for an early Istanbul trip with the family!

Two-day city break to Istanbul with a group of friends. Kadir was our private guide and it was thoroughly worth it and a lot of fun. Interesting things seen from Istanbul, certainly also visited places we would never have seen otherwise.
Everything was also planned perfectly in time.
Kadir has organized individual requests such as a Bosphorus boat trip as a small group or a restaurant visit with fantastic views. Thanks to Kadir everything stress-free, guided tour of the city with headphones, which has also allowed a relaxed walking and understanding in a group over a longer distance. Very good knowledge of German, interesting things to tell and very pleasant relaxed interaction with each other.
